She married the love of her life, Kenneth Dean Imel who just passed away last month, in 1947 immediately after he returned from serving in the Navy after WWII.

Her husband and family were her life here on earth. Ruth Jane and her husband Dean enjoyed 71 years of marriage together.

After raising their children they enjoyed travels to the mountains in Colorado and Wyoming, attended Ragtime piano festivals where they danced and Dean played piano, lived briefly on Grand Lake and in Branson before returning to Oklahoma to be closer to family. She was a woman who loved God and family, worked hard every day with a smile to provide for her family’s needs and had a strong value of education that she instilled into her children. She will be missed greatly by her family but they know “in the blink of an eye” they will be with her in Heaven for eternity.

A private family service will be held as Ruth requested. Arrangements are under the direction of Lehman Funeral Home of Wellston.
