Fitchburg Ruth Lillian Salmi, 87 May 15, 1931 July 21, 2018 Ruth Lillian Salmi, 87, died Saturday July 21, at the Highlands Long Term Care Center after an illness. Ruth was born in Worcester, daughter of George and Sandra (Pajula) Salmi and had lived in Fitchburg over 30 years. She was employed as a bookkeeper in a sporting goods company.

Ruth was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church. Ruth leaves her companion and primary care giver of over 30 years Lauri Rautio. Her brother Leo Salmi predeceased her.
