Ruth’s Obituary Ruth Marie Mark Bennett, age 65, of Twin Falls, Idaho passed away surrounded by loved ones on Jan 22, 2019, of complications of breast cancer. Ruth was born in Fort Morgan, Colorado on August 12, 1953 to Jack Dwayne and Ruby Darlene Mark. She grew up in Fort Morgan, with her older brother John and her little sister Dona, until about 12 years old when the family moved to Aurora Nebraska, where she spent some of her formative years.

Just before her senior year, Ruth’s family moved to Idaho. Ruth has 4 children, Michelle, Robert (Tammy), Jeremy (Jodie) and Buck. In the summer of 1983 Ruth met the love of her life Frank Bennett.

With Frank, Ruth gained 10 bonus children, Frank Jr, Dawn, Barbara, Gina, Brenda, Roberta, Damien, Lee, Jennifer and Amanda. Ruth and Frank got 35 years together, rarely spending any time apart. Ruth had an adventurous life, when she was young her family was part of a petting zoo.

She would interact with monkeys and any number of animals most of us will never have an opportunity to be around. Ruth’s mother was an animal lover and passed that on to Ruth. She loved animals all her life and leaves behind 3 beloved dogs.

When she was a young woman, she made a living driving semi-trucks. When she wasn’t quite as young, she decided to race cars at the Magic Valley Speedway with Frank as her crew chief. She lived in most of the western states for at least a short time during her life.

She spent many years living in Utah. She was always up for a road trip and just about any other adventure she could find. She loved the mountains, camping, fishing, boating and hiking.

When she met Frank they loved to dance. They were so good on the dancefloor together. Ruth loved her football.

Most anytime you saw her, she would be wearing something to represent Boise State or Denver Broncos. After Ruth made it back to Idaho, she worked at the hospital for many years and absolutely loved her job and the people she worked with. Her last job was out at the airport in Twin.

She enjoyed that job so much. She loved the people she worked with. She loved helping passengers get to where they needed to go.

She stayed at the airport job until the cancer absolutely took her down and she couldn’t make it out there anymore. Most of all Ruth loved and loved and loved. Her friends were her family and her family was everything, the children meant the world to her, all of them, each child she met along her way that chose to call her grandma or auntie or GG they all meant everything to her.

Always the champion of the children. She stayed connected to all of us, if you were her family, her friend, however distant, she kept in touch with you. She maintained friendships for 40 plus years.

She knows what’s going on with all her kids, grandkids, their kids, her siblings, her nieces and nephews, her friends, their families. She genuinely cared all the time and none of us were ever allowed to doubt that. Sometimes, even when you didn’t want to be kept in touch with… she still reached out and checked on you.

Ruth was preceded in death by both of her parents Jack and Darlene and one son, Frankie Jr..
