Ruth Marshall was born in Luverne, Alabama on March 25, 1932 to Arzella and Felix Peterson. Ruth enjoyed cooking, reading the Bible, watching the Steve Harvey Show and Family Feud. She was a member of Christland Baptist Church for over ten years where she sang in the choir.

Ruth was a beloved mother of Stephanie Peterson, Andika Hill and Tamera Marshall, a cherished grandmother of seven and great grandmother of five and a dear sister of Melvin Peterson. Her memory will be cherished by all who loved her.
