Coleman Funeral Home of Oxford Mrs. Ruth Potts, 63, passed away Wednesday, May 22, 2019, at her home in Oxford, MS. Visitation will be Friday, May 31, 2019, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Coleman Funeral Home. A memorial service will immediately follow at 12:30 p.m., also at Coleman Funeral Home.

Coleman Funeral Home of Oxford is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Potts was born in Marks, MS. She enjoyed watching her favorite shows, Golden Girls and Criminal Minds, with her family.

Mrs. Potts also was fascinated with learning her family’s ancestry. She was an amazing family woman, who always found a way to put others first. Mrs. Potts also held a special place in her heart for her pets.

Mrs. Potts is survived by her husband, Maxey Potts of Oxford; two daughters, Rebecca Bradford of Olive Branch, and Sarah Potts of Oxford; one son, Chris (Dottie) Potts, Sr., of Oxford; one granddaughter, Sissy Potts of Oxford; four grandsons, Chris Potts, Jr., and Landon Potts, both of Oxford, and Zach Bradford and Michael Campbell, both of Olive Branch; one great-grandson, Matt Davis of Oxford; two great-granddaughters, Alyssa Potts and Raylen Appleton, both of Oxford; two brothers, Timmy Miller of Oxford and Tommy (Renee) Miller of Fulton, MS; and a host of nieces and nephews. Mrs. Potts was preceded in death by her father, Glenn Miller; her mother, Alice Joyce Beaver; and one sister, Janice Miller. Online condolences may be left on her Tribute Wall at www.
