Ruth V. Stein, 103, of South Haven, passed away Sunday, January 27, 2019 at the South Haven Nursing and Rehabilitation Community. She was born January 30, 1915 to Ross and Gail (Maxfield) Dilley in Parma, Idaho. She married Ivan Stein on May 5, 1932 in South Haven.

They shared 64 years in marriage before his passing in 1996. Ruth owned and operated Marinello Beauty Salon in South Haven for over 40 years. She was an avid reader and golfer and also prided herself on her investment strategies and success.

Ruth and Ivan had many travel adventures that took them to all parts of the world and they were both involved in local and state government. She was honored by the South Haven Rotary Club with the Paul Harris Fellow Award. She was preceded in death along with her parents and husband by a son – Charles “Chuck” Stein and siblings – Varnum Dilley, Louise Prange, Eilleen Wood, and Jacqueline Trainor.

Ruth is survived by her daughter – Julie (Tom) Taylor of Venice, Florida, daughter-in-law – Jean Stein of South Haven, five grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, four great-great grandchildren, and loving care giver – Rhonda Bradford. Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM on Saturday, June 8, 2019 at the Filbrandt Family Funeral Home in South Haven. Memorial services will follow visitation at 11:00 AM with Rev.
