Ruth Virginia Koch of Monroe, NY died at Schervier Pavilion in Warwick, NY on September 3, 2018. She was 94 years of age. The daughter of the late John Kenneth and Mary Elizabeth Hoyt, Ruth was born in Stony Point, NY in 1923.

She worked as a cook for the Gilmore Sloane House, in Stony Point, for 45 years. She is survived by her son Richie Koch and his fiance Maggie Guadalupe of Monroe, New York, her daughter Carol Koch-Adler of Pompano Beach, Florida; brothers Floyd Hoyt and wife Josie of Stony Point, New York, and Albert Hoyt of New Windsor; her four grandchildren Samantha Koch, Brittany Koch, Jacob Adler, and Justin Guadalupe; as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Gordon Koch.

The family has selected to have a Memorial Service on Friday, September 7, 2018, during the hours of 4:00 to 7:00 PM at Flynn Funeral & Cremation Memorial Centers, Inc., located at 139 Stage Road, Monroe, NY 10950.
