Ryan C Golz November 09, 1991 – December 13, 2018 Share this obituary Sign Guestbook| Send Sympathy Card Ryan Charles Golz, 27, of Marinette passed away unexpectedly while on a work trip Thursday December 13, 2018 in Orlando, FL. He was born November 9, 1991 to Steven and Barbara (Edquist) Golz in Marinette. Ryan graduated in 2010 from Marinette High School where he lettered in football, baseball, basketball and golf.
After high school he attended UW Marinette where he earned his associate degree in 2013. Ryan’s father felt it was incredibly special to have been his accounting teacher at UW-Marinette. He had worked for Parthie Landscaping, TLC Landscaping and was employed by Precision Ice Blasting for the last four years, currently as a foreman.
Ryan was very proud to be the lead person on many recent jobs and also proud of the many long hours of quality work he and his co-workers put in weekly. He also served as the “truck driver” for his crew, as both his grandfathers had done during their working years. He loved spending time with friends, traveling all over the world and United States, watching movies, playing video games, Risk and Frisbee Toss.
His recent travels were always accompanied by his buddy “Patrick” of SpongeBob SquarePants fame. If “Patrick” was not accompanying him, another would be obtained by using his “mastery of the claw machine”. He was an avid Packer, Badger, Brewer and Bucks fan.
He was a lifelong member of Bethel Lutheran Church. Ryan did everything to the fullest, was a free spirit and very positive, a friend recently put it this way, “Ryan had a way about him that you couldn’t help but be happy when you were in his presence. He had an ability to spread happiness like no one I have ever met before”.
Ryan was a true friend, jokester and forever a kid at heart, he was affectionately known as the “Director of Fun” to his relatives and all those who are young at heart. Ryan is survived by his parents, Barb and Steve of Marinette; a brother, Brad also of Marinette: many aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Donald and Leone Edquist and paternal grandparents, Charles and Gladys Golz; special great auntie, Dor.
