S. E. Roberts of Bogue Chitto, Mississippi July 12, 1933 – February 9, 2019 Funeral services for S.E. Roberts will be on Tuesday, February 12, 2019, at Brookhaven Funeral Home (894 Natchez Drive) in Brookhaven, MS at 11:00 AM with burial to follow in the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery in Bogue Chitto, MS. Bro. Floyd Higginbotham will be officiating the services with Brookhaven Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Visitation will be at Brookhaven Funeral Home on Tuesday, February 12, 2019, from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM. Mr. Roberts, 85, of Bogue Chitto, MS, passed from this life on Saturday, February 9, 2019, at King’s Daughters Medical Center with his loving family by his side. He was born on July 12, 1933 in Summit, MS, to Leon Roberts and Lena Boyd Roberts.

He was a member of the Masonic Lodge. He enjoyed traveling and spending time with all his family. Mr. Roberts was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, great-great grandfather and a loyal friend.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Leon and Lena Roberts; wife of 62 years, Vandeen Moak Roberts; granddaughter Amy Roberts Fitzhugh; sister, Grace Barr; and brother, Talmadge Roberts. Survivors are his sons, Myron Roberts, Morris Roberts and Victor Roberts; daughter, Jill Roberts Peak and husband Ike Peak; grandchildren, Jeffery Roberts, Jessica Roberts, Lexi Peak and Madison Peak; great grandchildren, Kylie, Samuel and Peyton Roberts, Brendan Harrell, Austyn Hodge, and Savannah Sagnibene; 3 great-great grandchildren and a host of family and friends. Memorials in S. E. Roberts’s name may be made to: BARL Animal Shelter 501 North Park Lane Brookhaven, MS 39601.
