Ms. Sabrina Faye Ashley, the daughter of Marie and Reverend George (Rachel) Ashley, was born on January 23, 1957 in Florence, South Carolina. She entered into eternal rest on Thursday, November 29, 2018. Sabrina, affectionately called “Brina” by family and friends, was educated in the public schools of Florence County, and was a 1975 graduate of Wilson High School.

She was formerly employed with General Electric and Golden Corral until the decline of her health. Those who knew Sabrina knew that she loved her daughters and granddaughters dearly, and that they were her world. Family was everything to Sabrina, and she was always a sweet and loving person to all her knew her.

She will be greatly missed. She leaves to cherish her precious memories: her loving daughters, Shanelle and Shatara Aiken, both of Florence, SC; five grandchildren: Ziania “Baby Doll” Cannon, Kalik Wallace, Sariah Wallace, Nakiya Bethea and Ahmad Bethea, all of Florence, SC; her mother, Marie Echols Ashley; her father, Reverend George (Rachel) Ashley, Sr. of Florence, SC; three sisters: Kim (Gene) Cannon of Florence, SC; Reverend Sandra (Noll) Carter, of Florence, SC and Marquita (Nikiel) Jones of Columbia, SC; one stepsister, Annette (Michael) McFadden of Florence, SC; five brothers: George (Rose) Ashley, Jr. of Florence, SC; Reese (Barbara) Ashley of Dovesville, SC; Morris (Shannon) Ashley of Timmonsville, SC; Reginald (Shiree) Ashley of Florence, SC; and Terrell Gregg of Florence, SC; one stepbrother, Kevin McFadden of Florence, SC; four aunts: Sandra Hickson, Ellen (James) McKay and Mary Elle Grant, all of Florence, SC; and Fannie Mae Blunt of Philadelphia, PA; two uncles: Harold (Beverly) Echols of Florence, SC and Raudean Ashley of Newport News, VA; her adoptive son, Mark Scott; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
