Sadie “Sally” Osborne, age 92, of New Era, went to be with her Lord on Monday, November 5, 2018 in Fremont. She was born July 25, 1926 in Shelby, the daughter of George and Flossie (Crothers) Isley. She was raised near Shelby and married Lester Osborne on August 1, 1946.

He passed away on September 12, 2004. She lived in rural New Era since the mid 1980’s. Sally was employed in several different jobs years ago.

She had worked at Howmet, Pentwater Wire Company, and different canning companies. She loved to go camping, hunting and fishing. She is survived by her children, David (Ellen) Osborne and Charlotte “Sherry” (Jim) Jimison; her brother, Robert (Betty) Isley; sister, Mary (Vestel) Wesley; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Ruth Isley, Gilbert and Jeanie VanOver and Dave and Marsha VanOver; nineteen grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.

Besides her husband, Les, she was preceded in death by her children, Linda Es, James Bowers and Diana Sherman; her parents; her brothers, William Isley and Harold Isley; and her sisters, Kathryn Houseman and Opal Weaver. A graveside service will be held later this week at Mount Hope Cemetery in Shelby. The day and time will be posted here soon.
