Flores, was born in Los Angeles, CA on October 3, 1930, and passed on to her eternal rest on January 26, 2019 while a resident of Villa Scalabrini Special Care Unit. She was the oldest of four children born to Lawrence Morales and Guadalupe De la Cruz of San Fernando, CA. In her childhood, Sally resided at St. Frances De Paul School in Hollywood, and later graduated in 1949 from San Fernando High School.

In her adult life Sally was homemaker, a bookkeeper and a seamstress extraordinaire. She enjoyed a full and happy life of music, adventure, friends and family, while she and Manuel experienced a variety of home bases that ranged from San Fernando, CA, to Rosarito Beach, Mexico DF, to the deserts of Las Cruces, NM, Henderson, NV and Palmdale, CA. Sally was preceded in death by her husband, Manuel D. Flores in 2017, her daughter, Gail Dorta, in 1999, and her brother, Larry Morales, in 1998.

Sally is survived by her three living children: daughter Janet Flores of Las Cruces, NM, and sons, Larry Flores of Santa Clarita, CA and Gary M. Flores of the Antelope Valley, CA. Sally is also survived by sisters, Carmen Cisneros, Rose Ortiz, Leta Daniel, Esther “Jamie” Frankel, and brother, Jes Carrera. There will be a Memorial Service at Mission Hills Catholic Mortuary, in the Mortuary Chapel, on Friday, February 8, 2019 at 1:00pm.
