Sally Joann (Johnson) Bargerstock, 86, went to be with the Lord and her son on Sunday, December 2, 2018 surrounded by family at a Chattanooga, Tennessee hospital. To this day she remained a member of the Bull Creek Presbyterian Church in Tarentum. Born in Natrona Heights on February 2, 1932 as the youngest child of Swedish immigrant parents Peter Olaf and Hilma Svensson Johnson, she served as a care giving wife and mother while working in several careers in the Pittsburgh and Spartanburg, SC areas.

Most Recently, after a first phase of retirement in Leesburg, FL she has lived comfortably in a retirement second phase at the Alexian Village of Signal Mountain, TN. She has enjoyed the relaxing life there watching the many birds that visited their deck while closely following the lives of her five grandchildren. After a trip to her parent’s homeland in Sturka , Sweden, she has corresponded regularly with her Swedish cousins.

Sally is survived by her husband of 65 years, Wayne Bargerstock as well as son, Scott (Janie) Bargerstock, of Hixson, TN. , and daughter Leigh Anne (Richard) Busse, of Camarillo, CA. A joy in her life were her five grandchildren; Rachel (Josh) Kritner, Heidi Busse, Dylan Bargerstock, Billy Busse and Sarah Bargerstock.

In addition, there a great number of nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Sally was preceded in death by her young son, Eric Lee Bargerstock; four sisters,Martha Burtner, Gertrude Johnson, Dorothy Gibson and Wilma Heutchy; along with one brother, Harvey Johnson. Friends will be received on Sunday, December 16, 2018 from 12 noon until the time of funeral ceremonies at 2:00 pm in the Cicholski-Zidek Funeral Home, Inc., 1522 Carlisle St., Natrona Heights 724-224-8688.

Officiating will be the Rev. Bob Henry. She will be laid to rest next to her son Eric in Bull Creek Cemetery, West Deer Township.
