Obituary Service Details Salvador Guerrero Benavides, 75 of Oxnard, passed away on Sunday, February 10, 2019 after a brief illness. Salvador was born on December 25, 1943 in Jalisco, Mexico but moved to Oxnard when he was 16 years old and lived out the rest of his life here where he worked as a concrete construction worker until retirement in 2009. Salvador loved cooking, gardening, bike riding, yard sales, BBQing, traveling to Mexico, Making people laugh but most of all he loved his Family Time and watching his grandkids grow up.

He is survived by his life long companion of 30 years, Lilia Lopez, siblings Lucio Benavides, Juan Benavides, George Benavides, Chuy Benavides “Jesus”, Tony Benavides, Moy Benavides, Letty Benavides, Nacha Benavides, Lorena Benavides, children Patricia Benavides, Lucia Benavides, Dina Benavides, Gilbert Celaya, Bonnie Celaya, 18 Grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
