Age 89, of Whitehall, formerly of Castle Shannon, on Saturday, February 2, 2019. Devoted father of Paul (Janet), Gail (Jim) Triscila, Dan (Kimberly), Sam (Joyce) Matthew (Marion), Alan (DeAnn) and the late Joan Scabilloni; loving grandfather of 16, great grandfather of 12; cherished companion for many years of Nancy Susko; brother of James and the late Peter Scabilloni; also survived by nieces and nephews. Sam was the founder of MARSA Masonry and well respected throughout the construction industry.
He was a member of the Pittsburgh Harmarville Hurricanes soccer team that won the 1956 U.S. Open Cup and was an avid golfer and bowler. Friends will be welcomed at Laughlin Cremation and Funeral Tributes, 1008 Castle Shannon Boulevard, Castle Shannon, Monday evening 6:00-8:00, Tuesday 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Gabriel of the Sorrowful Virgin Church 5200 Greenridge Dr. Pittsburgh, Pa 15236 on Wednesday morning at 10 o’clock.
Interment Queen of Heaven Cemetery. If desired, memorials may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society, Keystone Chapter 1501 Reedsdale St. #105 Pittsburgh, PA 15233.
