Conyette, 90, of Mount Pleasant, passed away peacefully on December 22, 2018. He was born October 4, 1928 in Mount Pleasant and was the son of the late Antonette Covone and was the husband of the late Eleanor J. (Ciampini) who died February 15, 2018. They were married for 64 years.

Sam was a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church and the VFW in Mount Pleasant. He was also a 50 year member of the Mount Pleasant Vol. Fire Department where he enjoyed working fish fry’s and the fireman’s fair and was formerly the Assistant Fire Chief.

Sam was a US Army Veteran of WWII and was proprietor of the former Sammy’s Pizza and The Dari Bar in Mount Pleasant. He loved fishing with his late wife Eleanor at Erie and Bridgeport and enjoyed hunting with friends. He retired from Robertshaw Controls and Eidemiller Construction Co

He is survived by his loving family: children; Sandra K. Conyette of Mount Pleasant, Samuel M. (Linda) Conyette of Wendel, Sheila L. (George O.) Eicher of Mount Pleasant, Peter J. (Janet) Conyette of Greensburg, and Antoinette “Toni” Conyette Keck and George of Mount Pleasant, and by her grandchildren; Samuel D. ( Katie) Conyette, Brandon ( Shannon) Jaffre, Zachary Eicher, Christopher Conyette, Nicholas Conyette and Jacob Keck, nieces, nephews, and sister in laws, Louisa Tylka of Greensburg and Dorothy Champainy of Mount Pleasant. He was preceded in death by sisters, Carmella Dublinsky, Virginia Piezak, Angeline Lankey, Margaret Kita, Rose Castline, Carmella Mongello and Elizabeth Johnson, and brother-in-laws, Frank Tylak and David Champainy. Visitation will be held Saturday, February 23, 2019 from 1-3:00 pm at the Mount Pleasant Fireman’s Club, 622 West Smithfield Street, Mount Pleasant.

Memorial Service with Military Honors will be held there at 3:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Mount Pleasant Vol. Fire Department at 100 S. Church St. Mount Pleasant PA 15666 or call 724-547-8818.
