Samuel Laroy Davis was born September 8th, 1977 in Bethesda, Maryland to Meldon Laroy and Carol (Simms) Davis. Their bouncing baby boy was one of four children. Samuel was educated in the Des Moines Public School System.

He attended Des Moines Christian School and graduated from Hoover High School. Samuel was a follower of Christ and as a youngster he attended True Bible Baptist Church. It was there he learned to play the drums.

He was quiet and scholarly, a bit of a “nerd”, if you will. He knew his way around a computer and was very intelligent. He was into video games and loved watching movies.

Samuel loved spending time with family and his circle of friends. He liked listening to contemporary gospel music and was even known to sing a little. Samuel had a great sense of humor that will be missed by all that knew him.

On January 27, 2019, Samuel stepped from time into eternity at the age of 41. He was preceded in death by his father, Meldon Davis; sister, Kelli Jean Davis; grandparents, Rudolph and Roberta (Malbrue) Simms and Neddie and Meldon Davis. Left to mourn his passing are his mother, Carol Simms -Davis; brother Jeremiah Simms Davis; sister, Jeanette Marie Davis; uncle, Rudolph (Veronica) Simms and aunt, Roberta Alene.

He also leaves his cousins, Natalie, Elonda, Darryl and Terrine along with an extended family and friends.
