Samuel S. Cooley, 73, of Wanatah, passed away Wednesday, June 13, 2018 in Valparaiso. He was born October 31, 1944 in Vancouver, Washington to William F. and Margaret J. (Eckiss) Cooley. He is survived by his Life Partner Patricia Minton of Wanatah, daughter Kellilyn Michelle (Ryan) Price of Union Mills, his grandchildren Blake Ryan Price and Nolan Scott Price, his sisters Mary C. (Donald) Weaver of Bradenton, Florida, and Shirley (Dan) Codman of Ocala, Florida.

He was preceded by his parents, brothers William F Cooley, (JR) and Billy Gene Cooley, his sisters Peggy Darlene Fugate and Betty Ileen Butts. Samuel loved the outdoors, fishing, and woodworking. He worked in construction for over 25 years and served as a volunteer fireman for Union Mills.

Visitation will take place at Newhard Funeral Home, 58 W. Walnut St. in Westville on Monday June 18, 2018 from 4-7 PM. Funeral service will follow visitation at 7 PM. A private burial will take place at a later date.
