OBITUARY Sandra Diane Bovaird December 9, 1951 – October 6, 2018 Sandra D (Shaw) Bovaird, 66, of Buzzards Bay, MA passed away on Saturday, October 6, 2018 at her home. She was the wife of the late Frederick Bovaird. Born in Cambridge, MA she was the daughter of the late Ralph Shaw and Doris (Hassam) Ross and stepdaughter of the late William Ross.

Working hard since the age of 17, she spent years as an executive assistant at Coca Cola. She had a career change over to the United Parcel Service where she spent years working as an international air trailer supervisor until retirement. She was a person with a heart of gold, always fun to be around and well-liked by many throughout her life.

She had a huge passion for cooking, gardening and an undeniable love for animals. She is survived by a daughter, Amanda L. McHugh and her husband Michael of Pocasset, MA and a brother, Douglas Shaw of Henderson, NV. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial service on Saturday, October 20, 2018 at the Nickerson-Bourne Funeral Home 40 MacArthur Blvd.

, Bourne, MA. Visitation hour 11:00am to 12:00pm prior to service. Interment is private.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Sandy’s name to the MSPCA or a local animal shelter.
