Sandra Hope Bailey, 70, passed away on Saturday, September 29, 2018 in Caliente, Nevada. She was born on February 27, 1948, in Maywood, California, to Nathan & Elizabeth Thorn. She grew up in Bell Gardens, California and married Billy Bailey in February of 1967.

Sandy drove school buses for the Long Beach Unified School District for 22 years, retiring in 2003. Shortly after retirement she moved to Panaca, Nevada. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother and aunt, always a kind and caring person that saw the good in people and loved to laugh.

She was loved by her family and will be missed. She is survived by her 2 children, Clifton Bailey (Laura) of Kingman, Arizona and Michael Bailey of Panaca, Nevada. She is also survived by her one grandson Sam of Kingman, Arizona and one sister, Ramona Bailey (Calvin) of Cabot, Arkansas, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and two sisters. A viewing will be held on Friday, October 5, 2018, from 9:00-10:30 am at the LDS Church in Panaca, Nevada where she was a member. Funeral services follow at 11:00.

Interment will be at Park Lawn Cemetery in the City of Commerce, California.
