Griswold – Sandra L. Baton (Berube), 71, a long time resident of Griswold passed away on Saturday, December 8, 2018 at The Hospital of Central Connecticut in New Britain, CT, surrounded by her loving family. She was born March 28, 1947 in Gardner, ME to the late Edward J. and Thelma E. (Dunklee) Berube. On July 4, 1975 she was married to Arthur F. Baton.

He predeceased her in 2016. She was also predeceased by her brothers Mike, Ralph, Ty and Bif Berube. She is survived by her two brothers, Richard Roussell and Tiny Berube, along with her four daughters Lisa Bodge; (and her children, Chris, Britny and Katlyn); Stacy Bodge; (and her children Samantha and Tony); Rhonda Thiesen; (and her children Devin and Erik) and Gayle Lopez (and her children Josh, Casandra and Zach).

Sandi also had three great grandchildren Chris Jr., Brielle and Bryceson. Sandi enjoyed spending time with her long time friends Alice and Janice and her dogs Teddy and George. She was still working for Atlantic Broadband at the time of her passing.

She recently returned to the First Congregational Church in Plainfield, which she enjoyed. Her first love was Elvis. She also was an avid Patriots, Red Sox and Celtics fan.

She loved her home state of Maine. She was involved with the Jewett City Little League for many years and a local business owner. A Celebration of Life will be held on January 26, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at the Jewett City VFW.
