Obituary for Sandra P. Orr (Smith) Obituary Beloved Mother & Wife Mrs. Sandra Patricia Orr was born on January 15, 1941 in New York to the late Betty Lloyd and Patrick Smith. On April 28, 2018, Sandra suffered a Cardiac event and departed this life at the age of Seventy-Seven. Sandra graduated from Morris High School and attended New York University for Financial Printing Technology.

She was in the Financial Printing Industry at Bowne & Company as a Client Services Provider until retiring in 2008. Sandra was an advocate for equal pay for equal work for women within the financial printing company; Women’s Office Workers (WOW) an organization devoted to pay equality. She later became WOW’s Vice President.

Sandra’s hobbies were jewelry collection, cooking and needlepoint. Sandra was the beloved wife of New York City retired Transit Professional Wilbert L. Orr. Sandra is survived by her husband Wilbert Orr; daughter Erin Beres; son David Orr; four grandchildren: Jonah, Aiden, Chole and Avery Orr; along with one daughter-in-law Abby Orr; one ex daughter-in-law Karen Orr to whom she was very close with.

Sandra was a wonderful woman with a compassionate heart. She lived a full life and we are honored to celebrate the dash between the day she entered this world and the day she left it. We encourage you all to do the same.
