Sandra Soulia April 19, 1943 – January 11, 2019 PLATTSBURGH- Sandra Soulia, 75, of Marcy Lane, Plattsburgh, New York passed away Friday, January 11, 2019 at her home, surrounded by her family. She was born April 19, 1943 in Plattsburgh, the only child of Kenneth and Ruth Lamberton of Mooers, NY. Sandy graduated from Mooers Central High School and from SUNY Plattsburgh.

She loved working with children and taught at Chazy Central Rural School for thirty years. Sandy enjoyed the outdoors, gardening, swimming, reading, and painting with her sister friend, Janet. She spent special times at her cabin, sitting by the campfire or canoeing.

Sandy enjoyed her special luncheon friends. She loved to sew and many wondered whether she made it or bought it. Sandy is survived by her husband, Andy, of Plattsburgh; her daughter Heather Kumta, her son-in-law Sunil, and her granddaughter Katie, all of Guilderland; her five stepchildren: Andy and wife Marci, Glenn, Heather, John, and Clark Soulia; grandchildren Brittney, Jaedan, Morgan, and Evan Soulia; Andy’s four brothers and their families.

Her parents and her son Ricky predeceased her. Sandy will be remembered for her wisdom, her positive outlook, and the joy and love of life she shared with family and friends.
