Sandra’s Obituary Sandra M. Walker, 71, of Brookwood died at 12:28 a.m., Thursday, February 28, 2019, at her home in Coaling AL. She was born February 10, 1948 at Edwards Clinic of McCalla AL to Melvin and Francis Sandlin. She married Dennis G. Walker on March 21, 1967 and he survives her.

Also surviving is her father Melvin Sandlin of West Blocton, her two children, Paula (Philip) Alford of Monticello, MS and Scott Walker of Coaling. Grandson Aaron Lowery, two step-granddaughters Erin Alford and Caitlin(Lane) Foster with one step great-grandson Weston, one sister Kathy (Adrian) Dockery, niece Marcia Stanley, nephew Kevin Bohannon along with several aunts and cousins. Her mother, Francis Sandlin preceded her in death.

She was a wonderful wife, mother and friend. She loved to cook for others and go shopping. But above all, she served the Lord for many years.

She knew where she would spend eternity and wanted friends and family to know as well. Her visitation will be March 1, 2019, 6-8 p.m. at Tuscaloosa Memorial Chapel of Tuscaloosa AL. The service at 1 p.m. on March 2, 2019, Bro.

Steven Rimes, Bro. Arvin Harrell and her husband Dr. Dennis Walker will officiate.
