Sarah Frances Grimes, 83, of Helena, died Thursday, June 14, following a lengthy illness. Funeral services will be held at 2:00P.M., Sunday, June 18, at Friendship Holiness Baptist Church, with burial at Grimes Cemetery. Visitation is Saturday, 6:00-9:00P.M., at Vaughn Funeral Home, McRae.

A native of Toombs County, Mrs. Grimes lived most of her life in Wheeler County. She was the daughter of the late Lonnie Frances Copeland, Sr. and the late Nancy Eugene Moye Copeland. The lunchroom manager of Wheeler County Schools for many years, Mrs. Grimes was also a member of Friendship Holiness Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband of 58 years, Charles H. Grimes of Helena; daughters, Dianne (Stanley) Cravey of Brunswick, Sonja (Troy) Slaton and Brenda (Lee) Marsh, both of Alamo; brothers, Paul (Miriam) Copeland of Vidalia and Thomas Copeland of Lyons; eight grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren.
