Sarah Grace Steindl, 88, of Dawson, passed away peacefully on Friday November 30, 2018 surrounded by her loving family at Harmon House, Mt. Pleasant. She was born August 8, 1930 in Normalville, the daughter of the late Ben and Leona (Ritenour) Porterfield.

She was a member of the Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church, Connellsville. Sarah was employed through Connellsville Sportswear as a seamstress and she was also employed as a reliever through Anchor Hocking. She was a member of the Dawson Ladies Auxiliary.

Sarah is survived by her children, Theresa Keffer and husband Jeff of Elizabeth City, NC, John P. Steindl, Jr. of Shippensburg, PA, Mary Ann Holoman and husband Ray of Scottdale and James Steindl and wife Jessica of Dawson; grandchildren, Tammy DeRocco, Tony Sullivan, Melanie Evans, Jessica Riddick, Anna Keffer, Aaron Keffer, Scott Hiles, John P. Steindl III, Matthew Steindl, Zakary Holoman, Frank Holoman, Michael Steindl, and Morgan Steindl; 9 great-grandchildren and brothers, Benjamin Porterfield and George Porterfield. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Steindl, Sr. and her daughter, Maxine “Penny” Sullivan. Family and friends will be received in the PAUL G. FINK FUNERAL HOME, INC.

418 North Pittsburgh Street Connellsville on Monday from 2pm to 8pm. Additional visitation will be held on Tuesday from 8:30am to 9:30am, when Prayers of Transfer will be held. The Funeral Mass will immediately follow at Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church, Connellsville at 10am with Rev.

Fr. Julius Capongpongan as Celebrant. Committal will follow at St. Joseph Roman Catholic Cemetery, Connellsville.
