Obituary for Sarah Jane Holland Sarah Holland left this earth for her eternal home June 16, 2018. She was preceded in death by her infant daughter Melissa Kay Holland, parents Cody & Urania Shewmake, brother Billy Shewmake, and sister Evelyn Henry. She is survived by the love of her life of 62 years, Henry Holland, their daughter Melanie Buckley and her husband Joel Buckley, their son Tip Holland and his wife Christy.

Sarah was blessed with four grandsons whom she spoiled, cherished and loved unconditionally: Heath Sitton and his wife Torey, Hank Holland and his wife Brittney, T.J. Holland and Sam Holland. She had one great-grandson Jared Sitton who referred to her as “Haha” because of her laughter, immense joy and love of life. Sarah & Henry are chartered members of Meadowood Baptist Church, where she served faithfully for the past 55 years.

What made her an incredible wife and mother was the fact that she put Jesus first in her life, loving and serving Him with all of her heart. While on a mission trip to Argentina, she felt called to minister to and share the plan of salvation with citizens of Midwest City who were in need of food, clothing, and furnishings. With help from others, this vision began Mission Mid-Del/Masters Market.

Her genuine love and concern for those less fortunate has blessed many lives and opened the door for many to come to know her Jesus. She will be terribly missed but we rest assured knowing that one day we will join her for eternity. Memorial service will be held Tuesday, June 19 at 10:00am at Meadowood Baptist Church.
