Obituary of Sarah Catalano Sarah Catalano, of Cortland Manor, NY, wife of the late Ralph V. Catalano, Sr., died peacefully on Saturday, March 9, 2019. She was born in Manhattan, NY on February 17, 1940, daughter of the late Salvatore and Mary (Capezza) Massaro. Sarah and Ralph made their home in the Bronx where they raised their family.

In their later years they moved to Danbury and were parishioners of St. Gregory the Great Church. A loving wife, mother and grandmother, Sarah loved to spend time with her family. She enjoyed grocery shopping and cooking delicious meals.

She was loving, kind, and generous. She will be remembered for her sense of humor and outgoing nature. She always spoke her mind and “said it like it was”.

She will be sadly missed by her four children, Anthony Catalano and his wife, Rosemarie, Ralph Catalano, Jr., Maria Casale and her husband, Dennis, with whom she currently made her home, and Patrick Catalano and his wife, Dawn; her nine grandchildren, Anthony and his wife, Rochelle, Rosemarie and her husband, Paul Hites, Frank and his wife, Carrissa, Taryn and her husband, Anthony Morabito, Melissa Casale, Salvatore Casale, Nicholas and Brianna; and her great grandchildren, Daniella, Antonia, Gabriella, Belle, A.J, and Riley. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, March 14th at 10:30am at St. Gregory the Great Church, 85 Great Plain Road, Danbury. Burial will follow in St. Peter Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White Street, Danbury, on Wednesday between the hours of 3:00-7:00pm.
