Mr. Timothy Scott Short 53, of Whiteville, died November 30, 2018 at Durham VA Medical Center. He was born May 5, 1965 in Cumberland County, NC the son of Herbert Ray Short and the late Carole Gaskin Short. Mr. Short was Sales Manager for 30 years at his family business, Short Bros.

Auto Sales, Inc. in Whiteville. He was a veteran of the US Army having served from 1984 – 1988. Scott was a loving husband, father, brother and son.

He was a friend to all. He is survived by his wife, Rosita Short; two daughters, Morgan Short of Atlanta, GA and Allison Short of the home; two sisters, Christy Stocks and husband, Jeffery of Whiteville; Carrie Burney and husband, Todd of Whiteville; five nieces, Savannah, Lillie, Jennifer, Ashleigh, and Jolie; two nephews, Luis and Aeden. His funeral service with Military Honors will be 2:00 pm Monday, December 3, 2018 at Peacock Funeral Home Chapel with Rev.

Russell Honeycutt officiating. Burial will be in Whiteville Memorial Cemetery. His family will receive friends 6:00-8:00 pm Sunday, December 2, 2018 at Peacock Funeral Home.
