Obituary of Scott Nicely Scott Fredrick Nicely, 50, parachuted his way into heaven on April 4th, 2018 at home in Cape Coral, FL. He was the husband of Lisa (Kielczewski) Nicely. They shared 27 years of marriage together.

He was born on August 9th, 1967 in Beach Grove, Indiana. He was the son of Jim Nicely and Mary Ann (Smith) Eisenberg. He attended Riverdale High school in Fort Myers, FL.

He enlisted in the army as a paratrooper in 1985. He was assigned to the 82nd Airborne Division 1/504 PIR, in Fort Bragg NC. He participated in Operation Just Cause in Panama where he was awarded Combat Jump Wings for his courageous jump under enemy fire.

He also participated in Desert Shield and Desert Storm where he served in the Iraqi desert protecting American freedom. He received a multitude of accolades for his service. He retired in 1995 as an E5 Sergeant.

He was proud of his military service alongside his brothers-in-arms. Scott was extremely proud of his son, Owen and his pursuit of the sky. They shared a fondness for the Florida Panthers, RC, drones, and anything relating to Jacksonville University.

He will always be remembered for his sense of humor, generosity, heart of gold and bad-to-the-bone spirit. He is survived by his wife, Lisa (Kielczewski) Nicely; a son, Owen (Madison Kilgore) Nicely; father and stepmother, Jim and Rae Nicely, and mother and stepfather Mary Ann and Barry Eisenberg; siblings, Lisa (Scott) Wiskowski, and Jimmy Ramey; and many beloved aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by great grandfather, Jimmy Flynn; “adopted” great grandfather, Doug Ramey; grandparents, Rose and Fred Nicely, and Mary and Don Smith; mother and father-in-law, Stella and Chester Kielczewski; sister, Sheila Ramey; brother-in-law, Carlos King; and great niece, Jaleeza Gonzalez.

The memorial service will be held on April 13th, 2018 at 10:00 AM at New Life Assembly. The address is: 5146 Leonard Blvd. Lehigh Acres, FL 33973.
