Selah Beatrice McCormick, age 94 of Jacksboro departed this life Sunday, February 17, 2019 to be with the Lord while surrounded by family members. She was the oldest member of Cumberland View Baptist Church. Selah was a loving wife of 62 years, loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great-great grandmother.
Selah enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She is preceded in death by husband John Kelly McCormick; daughter Peggy Lawson; parents Barlow and Maggieline (Foust) Anderson; brothers Fletcher, Robert and Vernon Anderson; sisters Ruby Randolph and Nina England; grandson Timothy Lindsay; son-in-law Delmer Lindsay. She is survived by sons Willard McCormick & wife Charlotte of Sparta, Kenneth McCormick & wife Patsy of Jacksboro; daughters Betty (Lindsay) Asbury & husband JT of Jacksboro, Nancy Bowman & husband Allen of Caryville; 10 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren.
Visitation will be 6-8 PM Tuesday, February 19, 2019 in the chapel of Martin Wilson Funeral Home followed by funeral service at 8 PM with Chaplin Seth Stoffle and Rev. David Birchfield officiating. Friends and family will meet 10 AM Wednesday, February 20, 2019 at Martin Wilson Funeral Home to go in procession to Campbell Memorial Gardens for the 11 AM interment.
Rev. JT Asbury will be officiating the graveside service. Family wants to give a special thank you to LaFollette Court and Hospice for the care they provided to Selah during her 6 year stay at their facility.
