Senaida V. Estrada Senaida V. Estrada, age 79, died Sunday, January 6, 2019 in Las Vegas, Nevada at her daughters home surrounded by family. She was born April 18, 1939 in Runge, Texas to Santiago and Manuela Leal Villarreal. On April 12, 1955 she married Juan Estrada in Logandale, Nevada.

He preceded her in death on April 9, 2012. Senaida spent her youth living in Texas and several different towns as her family traveled to where work was available. Shortly after her marriage, she settled in Northern Utah.

In 1959, Moapa Valley became her permanent home as Juan gained employment with the Union Pacific Railroad. Senaida worked for the Clark County School District as a Title I Family Aide working with ESL students. She enjoyed being a homemaker, cooking, sewing and loving her family.

Her true love and passion was her devotion to the Catholic Church, she loved teaching, serving and worshiping. Survivors include one son and four daughters: Juan Jr. (Debi) of Logandale, NV; Margarita of Logandale, NV; Gloria (Jose) Hernandez of Logandale, NV; Irene (Raul) Tello of Tremonton, UT; Virginia (Dwayne) Ako of Las Vegas, NV; 13 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; one brother, Raul (Fela) Villarreal of Las Vegas, NV and one sister, Elida (Roger) Cortez of Cedar City, UT. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in Senaida’s honor Friday, January 11, 2019 at 12 Noon at St. John’s Catholic Church.

Visitation will be Thursday, January 10, 2019 from 6 – 7 p.m. with a Rosary at 7 p.m. at the Moapa Valley Mortuary. Friends and family are invited to sign our online guest book at www.
