Sergio Garcia Padron, age 62 of Le Grand CA passed away Wednesday March 6,2019 after a long battle with cancer. He was born on March 16, 1956 to Primitivo and Alejandra Garcia in Matamoros, Tamaulipas, Mexico. At the age of 8, in August, 1964 the family moved to Planada California.

As an adult he worked as a truck driver for many years, he enjoyed working on cars but most of all he loved racing them. Sergio’s car was number 22m “The Planada Flash“ and he also enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson. He always said, “Speed was like therapy, that’s what made him feel best”.

Sergio is survived by his long time companion Tina Walts of Le Grand, California. His children, Juanita Garcia of Texas, Patrica Garcia of Texas, Jaime Garcia of Atwater, and his son Sergio Garcia of Atwater California. He had 15 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

His siblings are Diana Nunez, Gil Garcia, Arnold Garcia, Nicki Gutierrez and Reinaldo Garcia and many nieces and nephews. So we ask anytime the spirit moves you, pause and reflect on the privilege you had of knowing him even if that time wasn’t nearly long enough . ’We will always carry your memory, In our hearts’.
