Memorial service for SFC Ray Leland Pratt (Ret), age 85 of Clarksville, will be Saturday, October 27, 2018 at 1:00 PM at Sykes Funeral Home with full military honors. Bro. Mulberry will officiate.

The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service. Ray passed away on Tuesday, October 23, 2018 at his residence. He was born on April 14, 1933 in Long Run, WV to James and Mamie Pratt.

Ray served 26 years in the United States Army and was the recipient of a Bronze Star and a Purple Heart medal. He also worked many years in Civil Service. Ray was a compassionate man, devoted husband and father, and adored his grandchildren.

He was a woodsman who loved nature, picnicking, and keeping a meticulous lawn. His best attribute was that he loved and trusted Jesus. He encouraged others to do the same and was confident where he would spend eternity.

In addition to his parents, Ray is preceded in death by brothers; Jim and Carl Pratt, and sisters; Nelda Scott and Marlene Davidson. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Marian Pratt, daughters; Denise Harrier (David), Jeanette Dulley (Peter), and Shelly Roberts (James), and 3 grandchildren.
