Shalecia Shav’ea Williams, 21, of Snow Lane, Charlotte NC, passed away Sunday, April 28, at CMC-Main. She was born May 28, 1997 in Cabarrus County to Shelita Williams Thomas and Thomas Antoine Asbury. Shalecia was a 2017 graduate of North Mecklenburg High School and was employed with First Light Home Care.

She was a member of Next Level Ministries of Charlotte. Services will be held Monday, May 6, at Bethel Baptist Church 2474 Dale Earnhardt Blvd. Kannapolis, NC.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 – 2:00 PM with funeral services at 2:00 PM. Burial will follow. .

She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Thomas E. Asbury and aunt, Lakisha Cowan. Those left to cherish fond memories include a son, Cazaiah Williams of the home; Father, Thomas Asbury (Natasha) of Charlotte; mother, Shelita W. Thomas (Pervis) of Charlotte; grandparents, Pamela Clark of Concord, Kenneth Williams of Kannapolis, Teresa J. Morris of Charlotte, Brenda Asbury of Concord, Lessie Cowan of Kannapolis, Pearlie M. Asbury of Concord, Mary Thomas of Charlotte, Margaret Streater of Charlotte; three sisters, Victoria McNair, Jakieya Williams, Royalti Thomas all of Charlotte; one brother, Pervis Thomas, Jr. of Charlotte; step-brothers, Deiondre Bittle, Myles Bowman; fiancé, Donavan Stewart of Charlotte; godmothers, Ebony Moody of Washington, DC, Monica Hollis of Kannapolis; god-sister, Kara Sloan; four aunts; April Johnson (Calvin), Ryan O’Neal (Dwayne) Shavon Brown (Traun) all of Kannapolis, Tanya Weaks (Wesley) of Concord; one uncle, Kenneth Williams, Jr. (Erica) of Concord; special cousin, D’erra Cowan of Concord; best friends, Daleah DeVaux, Infiniti Smith both of Charlotte and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
