Shannon Jerome Flowers, age 34, of Taylorsville passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, May 16, 2019 at Carolina Medical Center. He was born on July 27, 1984 in Forsyth County, the son of Dean Jerome Evans and Stephanie Annee Flowers Connor. Shannon worked for Foothills and Catawba Valley Staffing.

He attended Mt. Carmel Baptist Church and had a special love for his children. They were the world to him.

He also enjoyed playing basketball. Shannon is preceded in death by his brother Andre Connor; stepfather Danny Connor; his grandparents; and an uncle. Along with his parents, those left to cherish his memory include his children Tykese, Keyon, Kaleah, and Kaleyce Flowers and his longtime companion Kesha Combs.

; brothers Shaun Flowers and Joshua Connor, along with half-brother Danny McLain; half-sister Belita Linebarger; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. Funeral arrangements are incomplete and will be announced at a later time. Alexander Funeral Service is serving the Flowers family.
