Obituary for Sharon Ann Bragassa Sharon Ann Bragassa, age 79 of Mt. Pleasant, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 19, 2018 with her family by her side. On November 8, 1939, Sharon was born the daughter of Lyman and Corrinne (Biggs) Gates in Evansville, Indiana.

She was united in marriage to Michael Bragassa in February of 1962, and the couple enjoyed fifty-six years of marriage. Shortly after their union, Sharon and Michael began growing their family as they added their three children Greg, Pat, and Kelli. The majority of their young family life was settled in the Clare area, but was later moved to various western cities following Mike’s work career.

Previous to their recent move back to Michigan, Sharon and Mike had most recently lived in Conroe, Texas for twenty-seven years. Those that knew Sharon well knew that she was a busybody. In her younger years her interests in bowling leagues, the Red Hatter’s Club, Rebekah’s Lodge, and shopping with friends kept her in constant motion.

She also loved time spent wither dogs, celebrating Christmas, and playing the lotto. Sharon is survived by her husband Michael and her children Greg (Connie Gibbs) Bragassa of Mt. Pleasant, Pat (Jodi) Bragassa of Rigby, ID.

, and Kelli Bragassa of Evergreen, CO. Other survivors include her grandchildren Emily Bragassa of Mt. Pleasant and Lander Bragassa of East Rigby, Idaho, her brother Joseph Gates, and her longtime neighbors Lisa and Bill Harvey of Conroe, TX.

She was preceded in death by her parents Lyman and Corrinne Gates and six siblings. A funeral service in honor of Sharon will take place at the Clare Chapel of the Stephenson-Wyman Funeral Home on Wednesday, December 26, 2018 at 12:00 P.M. with Pastor Jeremiah Ketchum officiating. Friends may visit Sharon’s family at the funeral home on Wednesday from 11:00 A.M. until the time of service at 12:00 P.M. Burial will follow in the Cherry Grove Cemetery of Clare.
