Obituary for Sharon E. Silverstein Print Sharon E. Silverstein, 71, of Blakeslee, passed away Friday, February 15 at home surrounded by her family. Born in Brooklyn, NY, she was the loving daughter of the late Harry Silverstein and the late Lillian (Burkam) Silverstein. Sharon was an accountant for Topps Chewing Gum in Manhattan, formerly in Brooklyn, for over forty five years.

She enjoyed being an independent woman, but also loved her friends from work and getting together with them throughout the years. She also enjoyed gambling at the casino. She will be deeply missed by all of her friends and family.

She is survived by a brother, Marc Silverstein of Blakeslee; a sister, Gaile Silverstein of Blakeslee; two nephews, Lucas and Jason; a niece, Nicole; her very dear friend Liz Giles; and many great nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her dear friend, Rosemary Neuman. A viewing will be held on Monday, February 18 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM from the Kresge Funeral Home, 1763 Route 209, Brodheadsville.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 19 at 10:00 AM with Rev. David Felker officiating. Burial will follow in Wellwood Cemetery, West Babylon, NY.
