Sharon L. Blaker, 75, of Fredonia, Kansas passed away Friday, January 4, 2019 at Kansas Heart Hospital in Wichita, Kansas. Sharon Louise Blaker was born November 20, 1943 in Fredonia, Kansas the daughter of Oren Cox and Mildred (Taylor) Cox. She grew up in Fredonia and graduated from Fredonia High School.

She also attended Pittsburg State University. On July 15, 1977 in Miami, Oklahoma she was united in marriage to Arvin Reed Blaker and he preceded her in death. Sharon… Read More » worked for Midwestern Litho from 1963 to 1976, LaDow & Spohn from 1976 to 1991.

She went back to work for Midwestern Litho from 1991 until 2004. She later went to work at Lincoln Elementary from 2004 until 2011. She also worked with her husband at the station after work and weekends from 1963 to 2006.

She was a member of the First Christian Church, Old Iron Club, Tri Valley Street Rod Club, Christian Church Thrift Shop Advisory Board and Meals on Wheels. Survivors include nieces, Laura Henderson and Susan Blaker, god child, Erica Henderson, great nieces, Jessica Christian, Julia Caraway, great nephew, Jeremiah Christian, 2 great great nieces, 2 great great nephews, 3 cousins, Butch Cox, Robbie Taylor and Jim Taylor. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, parents and husband.

Memorial graveside services will be held 2:00 P.M., Thursday, January 10, 2019 at Fredonia City Cemetery. Memorial remembrances are suggested to the Old Iron Club and they may be left or mailed to Wickham family Funeral Home, 510 North 7th, Fredonia, Kansas 66736.
