OBITUARY Sharon L. Tharp April 14, 1943 – September 9, 2018 Sharon L. Tharp (nee Amelung), 75, of St. Charles, MO passed away peacefully on September 9, 2018. She is preceded in death by her parents, Louis William and Elsie Louise Amelung; her husband of 46 years, Phillip Jewel Tharp; brother, Ronald (survives Diane) Amelung; and brother-in-law, Allen (survives Sue) Sharp. Sharon is survived by her children, Jewel Lynn (Mischelle) Tharp of Perry, MO and Amanda K. (Tracy) Parks of St. Charles, MO; grandchildren, Brandy (Joseph) Decker, Ashley (Chase) Merrill, and Alivia Parks; great grandchildren, Joseph William Decker II, Hanna Jewel Decker, and Cyle Landon Merrill; brother, Dennis (Judy) Amelung; and sister, Pamela K. (Duvward “Dickie”) Johnson; Dear aunt, great aunt, cousin, and friend to many.

Sharon was a faithful servant of the Lord and was a member of St. Robert Bellarmine Parish. She was a loving, generous, and passionate woman who was a friend to all and never judged anyone. She was skilled at crafting floral centerpieces for weddings and an avid fan of BINGO.

She will be missed by everyone who knew her. Friends may visit from 10 a.m. until time of service at 2 p.m. at Alexander White Mullen Funeral Home East Chapel on Thursday, September 13, 2018. She will be laid to rest in Mt.

Lebanon Cemetery. Deacon John Schiffer will preside. In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to the Alzheimer’s Association and St. Jude Research Hospital.
