Sharon Lynn Stevenson, 85, of Mesa, Arizona, died December 21, 2018 at Winston Park in Mesa, AZ. She was born May 16, 1933 in Gothenburg, NE, daughter of Robert Earl and Vivian Rose Stevenson. Sharon grew up in Gothenburg and graduated from Gothenburg High with the class of 1951.

After graduation, she moved to Arizona. She was a teacher and a counselor for many years in the Balsz Elementary School District. Her niece and nephews have fond memories of going to spend summer vacations in Arizona with Aunt Sharon.

She was known to be a world traveler. Surviving are Jacqueline Owen and her children Dori, Michael and Danny of Mesa, AZ; nephews Kip Larson of Gothenburg, Kirk (Terri) Larson of Dodge City, KS, Niece, Kori Larson of Niles, IL, brother, Randy Stevenson of Tehachapi, CA; along with extended family and friends. Sharon was preceded in death by father, Robert Earl Stevenson, mother, Vivian Rose Stevenson and sister, Bobbie Larson.

Visitation will be held at Blase-Strauser Memorial Chapel, Gothenburg, Nebraska; Monday, December 31, 2018, 10:00 am – 11:00 am. Services will be held at Blase-Strauser Memorial Chapel, December 31, 2018 at 11:00 am. Interment will follow in the Cottonwood Cemetery, Cozad, Nebraska.

Memorials may be given to the Sojourner Center, 2330 E. Fillmore St., Phoenix, AZ 85006.
