Sharon Thomas, age 57, answered the Master’s call, gave up time for Eternity and entered peaceful sleep, Saturday, July 14, 2018 while a patient at Carolinas Medical Center-Main, Charlotte, North Carolina. At the time of her transition she was surrounded by her loving family. Our faith in Our Lord and Savior will sustain us during this difficult time as we say good-bye to our loved one.

We give thanks for the years we shared her life. Born February 13,1961 in Brooklyn, New York, Sharon was the daughter of the late William and Lizzie Margaret Forhand Thomas. She was educated in the Kings County New York public schools and attended Elmhurst High School.

Prior to declining health, she was employed in the food service department with Forrest Oakes Healthcare Center, Albemarle, North Carolina. Sharon attended Colston Street Church of God, Albemarle. She was an excellent cook and enjoyed preparing meals for family and friends.

Other interests included: shopping, dancing and watching the Lifetime Movie Chanel. Her parents and siblings: Jacqueline Thomas, Roger Thomas, Ronald Thomas, Jeffery Thomas and Michael Thomas preceded her in death. Sharon and her life partner, Joseph Deans Sr., were a devoted couple who shared many years together.

Sharon’s physical presence is no longer with us, but she will never be forgotten. She will be remembered, loved and remain in the hearts of her family and friends. Those who survive are: life partner, Joseph Deans Sr., Albemarle; daughter, Tamara S. Deans, Albemarle; sons: Jose Thomas, Kevin Thomas and Joseph Deans II; three grandchildren; brother, Steven Thomas, Durham, North Carolina; sister, Peggy Thomas, Dallas, Texas; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
