Shelton “Bunk” Morgan was born in Bailey, North Carolina on April 28, 1938 and was the son of Pinina Morgan Perry and stepson of Richard Perry, who preceded him in death. Bunk attended CC Spaulding High School in Spring Hope, NC and prior to his retirement he was employed by Noland in Washington, DC. Shelton, or “Bunk” as he was affectionately called, departed this life on Thursday, July 14, 2018 at his home in Suitland, MD.

Bunk can be described as someone that loved to play softball and later in life loved to watch baseball and talk about the years when he played softball. He loved making those long trips from Washington, DC to North Carolina to visit friends and family and cook his favorite dishes. Bunk was preceded in death by one son, Reginald Morgan and one sister, Laura Mae Perry.

He leaves to cherish his memory: one daughter, Stacey Walker Sanford of Spring Hope, NC; three sons, JR Reynolds, Dante Reynolds and Calvin Morgan of Maryland; six brothers, Roland Morgan of Knightdale, NC, Tyrone Perry (Carolyn) of Raleigh, NC, Jerry Perry of Houston, TX, James Wilbert Perry of Wilson, NC, Patrick Perry (Sheryl) of Washington, DC and Ricky Perry of Bailey, NC; sisters, Inez Perry of Spring Hope, NC and Cathryn P. Harris (Jule) of Raleigh, NC; three grandchildren, Trebor, Terence and Rayven; and a host of other relatives and friends. Memorial Service will be held on Friday, July 27, 2018 at Pope Funeral Home, 5538 Marlboro Place, Forestville, MD 20747.
