OBITUARY Sherman Lee May Jr. September 14, 1943 – December 25, 2018 Sherman Lee May Jr., age 75 of St Petersburg, FL died December 25, 2018. He was born September 14, 1943 in Chicago, IL to parents Sherman Lee May Sr., and Lydia (Wiedenhoeft) May. He and his wife Tammy moved to Florida in 1968 from Chicago.

He was employed for 24 years by Aherns Auto Care. He was also a veteran of the US Air Force. Sherman was an avid golfer, and was a loyal Chicago Bears and Chicago White Sox fan.

Survivors include his wife of 58 years Tammy (Little) May, a son; Guy May (Tracey), daughters; Lana Taaffe (Steven), Missy Turner (Cliff), and Kathy Bjurholm. He is also survived by his beloved grandchildren; Michael Appugliese, Stephanie Pribyl, Nicole Appugliese, Steven Taaffe, Jacob Bjurholm, Brooke May, Ashley Turner, Clifford Turner, Hannah Lee, and Brianne May, and ten great grandchildren. A gathering of family and friends will be held on Saturday January 5, 2019 at Beach Memorial Chapel 301 Corey Avenue St Pete Beach, FL from 2 to 5 pm.

Mr. May will be laid to rest in Bay Pines National Cemetery, Bay Pines, FL. The family requests optional casual attire at the gathering.
