Sherman Steve ton, 75 of Gillsville formerly of Fayetteville, West Virginia passed away Saturday December 1, 2018 at the Northeast Georgia Medical Center. Born in Grayson, Kentucky, Mr. ton had lived in Hall County for a number of years. He had served in the United States Navy and had worked as a machinist at Stork-Gamco.

Steve is survived by his wife, Etha Gertrude ton; sisters, Patricia Welch and Trenia Wooldridge; sons, Dean ton and wife, Shonna; Jimmy ton and wife, Lynn; grandchildren, Emily, Whitney, Quinton, and Ashton ton. Steve is preceded in death by his parents, Sherman and Pauline Kincaid ton, and sister, Sharon Renner. Steve lived simply and loved deeply, he enjoyed woodworking, fishing, spending time with family and was a dedicated husband.

He will be greatly missed by all. Memorial services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday December 5, 2018 at Prospect Baptist Church. The family will receive friends at the church after the memorial service.
