Sherman Weslie Pettis died peacefully March 2, 2019 at the Christian Community Home in Osceola. He was 82 years old. He was born in New Richmond, WI on April 16, 1936 and was the first born of seven children to Luther and Mayme Pettis.

He moved to Osceola in 1943 where he lived for many years. While an insurance agent he lived in numerous towns in Minnesota and Wisconsin but his heart eventually brought him back to Osceola.
