Sherry Adkins, 76, of Delphos, passed away on Friday, December 14, 2018, at Lima Memorial Health Systems in Lima. She was born October 31, 1942, in PA to Lawrence and Alice (Carothers) Elliott. They both preceded her in death.

She was united in marriage to Jack Adkins Sr. on January 31, 1965, he survives in Delphos. She is survived by a daughter, Deb (Ken) Ackerman of Montrose, MI; step-children, Charles Adkins of Portsmouth, OH and Joyce Nester of NC; two brothers, Larry (Sherri) Elliott of KY and Jerry (Diana) Elliott of CT; two sisters, Sandy (Jim) Wagner of Brook park, OH and Lisa (Ron) Harter of TX; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Jack Jr.; brother, Jeff Elliott; sister, Susan Elliott; and step-son, Larry Adkins.

She was a member of First United Presbyterian Church in Delphos and she had worked for Delphos City Schools in the kitchen for over 30 years. There will be visitation on Monday, December 17, 2018, from 2-8p.m. at Harter and Schier Funeral Home. Burial will be at a later date.
