Sheryl Schlagel, 81, of Westville, passed away on March 18, 2019, at her residence. She was born on September 9, 1937, in Greeley, Iowa, to Robert and Goldie (Hatfield) Hilsenbeck. On August 17, 1958 Sheryl married James Schlagel, who survives.

She was a devoted mother and wife to her family. She is survived by; children Dawn (Leonard) Ream, Denise Schlagel, and Jamie Schlagel, sister Beverly (Gary) Hartbeck, and mother Goldie Hilsenbeck. She is also survived by; her grandchildren Chad (Amanda) Ream, Holly Ream, Alex Schlagel, and Abby Schlagel, great-grandchildren Aiden Kaiser, Camden Kaiser, Draven Schlagel, Jeslyn Schlagel, Liam Schlagel, and Owen Ream.

She is preceded in death by her father Robert Hilsenbeck and brother John (Clara) Hilsenbeck. A private family memorial service will be held at a later date. To sign an online guestbook, www.
