Shirley Kipp O’Bryant, 96, of Scottsdale, Arizona, formerly of Wacousta, MI, passed away peacefully in her sleep on December 20, 2018. After living in the warmth of Arizona, Shirley has returned to Wacousta for her final resting place. Shirley was born April 28, 1922 in St. Louis, MI, daughter of William and Edith Keefer Kipp.

During her years living in Wacousta with her husband, James, raising their children, she worked as a bus driver for the Grand Ledge Public Schools, enjoyed… Read More » spending time outdoors, playing card games, and many years of special time spent with family and friends at their cottage on Rainbow Lake. In retirement years she lived 30 years in Arizona and summers in Idaho. She was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, James (2010), and son and daughter-in-law, Tom and Janet O’Bryant.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory, sons Mark (Cindy) O’Bryant and Dale O’Bryant; 4 grandchildren: Tonia (Scott) Nemecek, Tami (Matt) Chalmers, David (Soneya) O’Bryant, Jesse White, great grandchildren: Nicholas and Mya Nemecek, Chris and Katie Chalmers, and Lindsay O’Bryant. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 11, 2019 at Peters & Murray Funeral Home, Grand Ledge, MI. Visitation one hour prior to service time.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Hospice of Holland, 270 Hoover Blvd. , Holland, MI 49423, www. hollandhospice.org.
