Shirley G. Shaw, age 91, of Batavia, went to be with the Lord on February 27, 2019 at Michealsen Health Center in Batavia with her loving family by her side. Shirley was born on November 25, 1927 in Chicago, the daughter of Harold and Gladys (Schlegel) Krueger. Shirley was a long-time member of the Community Church of Rolling Meadows and was always very active with the Women’s Association.

She had an extremely loving heart and was a caregiver to many people. Her favorite pastime was spending time with her family & friends and she will be dearly missed. Shirley is survived by her children Debra (Duane) Oest of Geneva and Randy (Cheryl) Shaw of Palatine; grandchildren Daniel Shaw, Marc (Samantha) Shaw, Brandon (Sarah) Oest, Taylor Shaw, and Haleigh Oest; great grandson Jackson Shaw; and many other dear relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her devoted husband Frank who passed away in October 2006. Visitation for Shirley will be held Friday, March 8, 2019 from 3:00 pm until the time of her ‘Celebration of Life’ service at 7:00 pm at Malone Funeral Home, 324 E. State Street, Geneva. Burial will be held privately at Mount Emblem Cemetery in Elmhurst.
